The refund (or reduction in tax payable) depends only on the amount donated and not on taxable income.
Tax credit calculations are as follows:
- You receive 75% back on the first $100 of your contribution
- You receive 50% back on contributions between $100 and $550
- You receive 33.3% back on contributions between $550 and $1150.
- The maximum tax credit is $500.

Tax Receipt Information
Tax receipts are issued by the BC Liberal Party before the end of February of the following income tax year.
Please be advised that Elections BC does not allow tax receipts to be issued in any other name other than that of the donor (the holder of the credit card or name on the cheque).
